You will visit the Casa Rosada, which is the presidential palace. Its eclectic architectural style houses the mythical balcony from where Eva Perón addressed the people of Buenos Aires. The name of the house is a mystery in Argentine history. It is said to either symbolize the union of two opposite political parties in the nineteenth century (white Unitarians with red Federals) or simply the available color of paint at that time.

The tour continues to the Cabildo, a colonial city-hall, where Argentina’s steps towards independence took place. Adjacent, we find the metropolitan cathedral defying all architectonic expectations with its neoclassical front resembling Greek temples and sumptuous baroque interior. Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay
This is an all day tour to our neighboring country, Uruguay which lies opposite Buenos Aires, across the Río de la Plata River. This ancient city of Colonia del Sacramento is an unquestionable visit for anybody that loves History.

Here you will relive the river’s turbulent yet melancholic past that took place at the end of the 17th century. Due to the fact that the city is perfectly preserved, it has been declared cultural heritage of the human race.

In this tour you will see charming cobble stone streets, flower lined balconies and astonishing colonial layouts turning this into an enchanted destiny for nature and history lovers. The journey begins at the Puerta de Campo, or Country Door, located opposite the Main Square. You will walk along the Calle de los Suspiros, or Sighs Street, a narrow cobblestone street surrounded by 18th century construction. The street’s main attraction is the combination of the old houses, the vibrant colors and the river view at the end of it.

You continue towards Saint Francis Convent, one of the oldest buildings of Colonia. Next to it is the Old Lighthouse that lights the whole bay at night. You will visit the Main Church, the oldest in town which preserves the footprints of the many historical events that took place in past centuries.

This church has been demolished and rebuilt many times in its present site since 1680.Next, you will visit two Portuguese-style houses: the Nacarello House and the Viceroy’s House.

Last, but not least, you will head towards Bastión del Carmen, a Spanish fortress that served as a defensive wall, and to the Plaza de Toros, or Bullring, a magnificent Moorish architectonic building, inaugurated in 1910. This bullring was seldom used: although it made a great debut, bullfighting was forbidden in 1912, and this splendid square became useless.
